BULLETS

M&B monolithic bullets were born from an idea — a challenge between two friends and fellow hunters who sought to create a world-class product. They envisioned bullets that would maintain extreme precision at distances between 100m and 400m, making them equally functional for both hunting and sport.

In the Slovenian region, the product has been officially tested for hunting use up to 300m, while individual long-range shooters have successfully tested them up to 500m. The founders were driven by a passion for perfection and a desire to improve upon the limitations of bullets currently on the market. These products are the result of years of rigorous experimentation and testing. This is how M&B bullets came to life.

Sub-caliber projectiles featuring round and semi-circular O-rings designed to reduce the contact surface between the bullet and the barrel’s rifling (a principle similar to that used in large-caliber cannons).

THE MAKING OF M&B

Ballistic expertise alone was not enough to create these hunting and competition bullets. The process required extensive research, consulting, and experimentation—not to mention deep metallurgical knowledge, specialized tooling, expert technicians, and high-quality materials.

To achieve a premium product, we had to find the perfect compromise between machinability and mechanical-ballistic properties. This necessitated a significant investment to source the exact components required from the industry. However, the complexity of the project never dampened our resolve: our strong motivation convinced our partners to persevere alongside us until the M&B brand was finally realized.

ADVANTAGES OF SUB-CALIBER M&B BULLETS

Controlled expansion of the front convex section

M&B bullets feature a ringed structure with a body diameter slightly smaller than the nominal caliber of the barrel. Only the structural rings make full contact with the rifling (grooves), while the rest of the bullet body does not. The bullets are engineered so that, upon impact, the front convex section undergoes controlled expansion (fragmentation), while the rear section continues its path undisturbed in the same direction through the target. By shedding the front section, the projectile retains high velocity and maintains a stable trajectory.

Two-part construction

M&B bullets are composed of two parts: an injection-molded tip containing various additives that seals the groove, and a high-quality brass body.

Lower Friction and Higher Velocities

While conventional projectiles make full contact with the internal rifling profile—causing significant friction, generating heat, and creating high backpressure — our bullets are designed to ensure lower friction and higher muzzle velocities.

We recommend using faster-burning powders.

Due to the reduced friction and pressure profile of our design, we recommend the use of faster-burning powders for M&B bullets.

M&B bullets also reduce the physical strain and felt recoil for the shooter.

The brass alloy used in M&B bullets is of exceptionally high quality, providing the homogeneity and ductility crucial for performance both during flight and upon impact.

The M&B bullet is a sub-caliber projectile featuring rings with circular and semi-circular cross-sections. This design offers significant advantages for precision enthusiasts while maintaining optimal ballistic parameters:

Low Friction Coefficient: The contact surface between the rings and the barrel rifling is much smaller than that of a conventional projectile.

High Ballistic Coefficient: Combined with lower friction, this enables exceptionally high velocities.

Reduced Barrel Wear: Significantly less wear on the barrel due to the minimized contact area and improved sliding motion of the projectile.
